Viblyy for Mac.
Spotify and Apple Music go down while Claude Code answers, and come back when you write again.
Which one? Apple menu, About This Mac: a Chip line means Apple silicon, a Processor line means Intel. Free, for macOS 15 or later.
Install it
- Open the file you downloaded, and drag Viblyy onto Applications.
- Open Viblyy from Applications. Its icon sits in the menu bar, and Settings opens.
- Sign in. Your account is your email address, and nothing about your music or your conversations goes with it.
- Connect Claude Code in Settings.
- Allow the Claude app, if you use it: in Settings, under Claude Desktop, press “Allow in System Settings” and turn Viblyy on in the list macOS opens. Viblyy looks for the app’s stop button and nothing else.
- Play something and ask Claude Code. The first time, macOS asks whether Viblyy may control Spotify or Music: allow it.
What it follows
- Claude Code, in a terminal or in your editor, and Codex.
- The Claude desktop app, its chat and its Code tab, set to English.
- The ChatGPT app’s Work mode. Its chat comes in an update.
- Spotify and Apple Music: turned down to the level you choose, or paused, and brought back when you send. A volume you change by hand stays where you put it.
- Music in Chrome, and AI in the browser, with the Viblyy extension: turn on “Link with Viblyy Desktop” in its settings, and the two move together.
Not yet on a Mac: players other than Spotify and Apple Music. SoundCloud and the rest of the web’s music follow in Chrome, through the extension.
Updates
Viblyy tells you in its menu when a new version is out, and you download it from this page. It never installs anything by itself, and you can turn the check off in Settings. What it looks at and keeps is in the privacy policy.
