Something not working?
Write, and send the report with it. Most of the answer is usually in the report.
It goes straight to the person who makes Viblyy.
- Click the Viblyy icon in Chrome’s toolbar — under the puzzle piece if it isn’t pinned — then Settings and diagnostics.
- At the bottom of the page, press Copy diagnostic info.
- Paste it into the mail.
The report is plain text: the version, which services are open, when the music was last turned down, and the last 20 things that happened. Domains only — no page addresses, no tab titles, nothing from your conversations. It is short so that you can read all of it before you send it. The privacy policy lists every line.
Common questions
The music doesn’t turn down at all
Three things to check. The music has to play in a Chrome tab on one of the services Viblyy works with — a desktop app is out of the browser’s reach, and so out of Viblyy’s. Viblyy has to be on: the switch at the top of its popup. And if the tabs were already open when Viblyy was installed, reload them once.
The popup says what Viblyy sees at each moment, which usually points at the one that’s missing. Get started walks through what it should say at each step.
It gets quiet at the wrong moment
There are two ways to have it, under When the music goes down in the settings.
When it’s done is the default. The music plays through the answer and steps back once it is finished, so the drop tells you it’s ready — useful if you walk away from the screen. As it arrives steps back as soon as the answer starts being written, which suits you if you read along.
It’s too quiet, or not quiet enough
Turn down to in the popup sets how far: anywhere from 1 to 60 % of the volume that was playing. It is a share of your volume rather than a fixed level, so it sounds the same whether you listen loud or soft.
If you would rather have silence, choose Pause instead of Turn down.
Why won’t the slider go below 1 %?
Zero isn’t quieter, it’s silence — and for silence Pause is the better tool: the player stops where it is instead of playing on to nobody.
I paused my music, and Viblyy didn’t start it again
That’s on purpose. A pause you made is yours, and Viblyy leaves it alone. If you would rather it started the music anyway, turn on Resume music I paused myself in the settings.
I turned the volume up in the middle of an answer
Viblyy takes that as you wanting it louder overall. Turn the lowered music up to twice as loud, and it comes back at twice the volume when you send — and the next drop is measured from there. Viblyy never writes over a level you set.
I have more than one AI tab open
Viblyy follows the one you used last; the others can finish writing without touching the music. To keep one tab in charge whichever tab you’re in, choose it under Watch this AI tab in the popup.
The music came back up although I didn’t send anything
Pressing Enter in a message box with text in it counts as sending, straight away — waiting to be sure would cost the very seconds Viblyy is there to save. If nothing is actually sent, the music goes back down within ten seconds.
My music plays in the Spotify app, not in the browser
“Link with Viblyy Desktop” can’t find the app
Chrome finds Viblyy Desktop through a note the app leaves each time it starts. When the extension can’t find it, one of these is almost always why:
- It isn’t running. Its icon sits by the clock, perhaps behind the ^ arrow. If it’s not there, start Viblyy from the Start menu.
- It was started through another app. Started from inside another program — for example by asking Claude Code in Claude Desktop to open it — it can leave its note where Chrome doesn’t look. Viblyy notices and starts itself again; if its window says it was started from inside another app, quit it and start it from the Start menu or by double-clicking viblyy.exe.
- Chrome hasn’t asked again yet. In the extension’s settings, click Check again.
On a Mac, the note is a file in your browser’s own folder, written each time Viblyy starts, so:
- Open Viblyy from Applications. Its icon sits in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
- A browser you installed after Viblyy gets its note the next time Viblyy starts: quit Viblyy from its menu bar icon and open it again. The same goes for a browser you had never opened before.
- Moved Viblyy, for example from Downloads to Applications? Open it from where it is now, and the note follows.
Still not linked? Quit Viblyy Desktop from its icon, start it again, and write to support@viblyy.com.
My Mac says Viblyy can’t be opened
Viblyy for Mac is checked by Apple before it is put on this site, so macOS opens it after asking once whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. If it says instead that Viblyy “needs a newer version of macOS”, your Mac is older than macOS 12, and Viblyy can’t run on it. Viblyy is made for macOS 15 or later; on 12, 13 and 14 it starts, but it isn’t tested there.
If it says anything else, write to support@viblyy.com with the exact words.
On my Mac, Viblyy doesn’t follow the Claude or ChatGPT app
macOS lets no app look at another app’s window until you allow it. Open Viblyy’s Settings and, under Claude Desktop, press Allow in System Settings; then turn Viblyy on under Privacy & Security, Accessibility. Viblyy looks for the Claude app’s stop button and nothing else, and never reads a conversation.
The Claude app also has to be set to English: Viblyy finds its buttons by their English names, and Settings says so when it is set to another language.
On a Mac, the ChatGPT app’s chat is followed through its window from version 0.1.1, under the same permission, with the app in English or Swedish; its Work mode is followed through the files Codex writes.
On my Mac, Viblyy doesn’t turn Spotify or Apple Music down
The first time Viblyy turns a player down, macOS asks whether Viblyy may control it. If you said no, or the question never showed, open System Settings, Privacy & Security, Automation, and turn on Spotify and Music under Viblyy.
On a Mac, Viblyy turns down Spotify and Apple Music, and music in Chrome through the extension. Other apps playing sound are left alone for now.
Can I switch it off for a while?
The switch at the top of the popup stops Viblyy without removing it. To do the same
from the keyboard, give it a shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Which services does it work with?
Every music service and AI assistant Viblyy knows, with the address it watches for each, is on the page that lists them.
Missing one you use? Write and say which.
How do I remove it?
Open chrome://extensions and press Remove on the Viblyy card. That
deletes everything Viblyy kept. There is no copy anywhere else, because none was ever
made.
The Windows app: first open Viblyy’s settings and press Clean up next to Before you uninstall. It takes out Viblyy’s hooks from Claude Code’s settings, in WSL too, and the registry entry that lets Chrome find the app — the two things an uninstall can’t reach — and closes Viblyy. Then uninstall it from Windows’ Installed apps, which deletes everything else. The privacy policy says how to remove both by hand if you have already uninstalled.
Not here? Write — with the report, if you can.
