Something not working?

Write, and send the report with it. Most of the answer is usually in the report.

It goes straight to the person who makes Viblyy.

Send the report with it
  1. Click the Viblyy icon in Chrome’s toolbar — under the puzzle piece if it isn’t pinned — then Settings and diagnostics.
  2. At the bottom of the page, press Copy diagnostic info.
  3. Paste it into the mail.

The report is plain text: the version, which services are open, when the music was last turned down, and the last 20 things that happened. Domains only — no page addresses, no tab titles, nothing from your conversations. It is short so that you can read all of it before you send it. The privacy policy lists every line.

Common questions

The music doesn’t turn down at all

Three things to check. The music has to play in a Chrome tab on one of the services Viblyy works with — a desktop app is out of the browser’s reach, and so out of Viblyy’s. Viblyy has to be on: the switch at the top of its popup. And if the tabs were already open when Viblyy was installed, reload them once.

The popup says what Viblyy sees at each moment, which usually points at the one that’s missing. Get started walks through what it should say at each step.

It gets quiet at the wrong moment

There are two ways to have it, under Quiet the music in the settings.

When it’s done is the default. The music plays through the answer and steps back once it is finished, so the drop tells you it’s ready — useful if you walk away from the screen. As it arrives steps back as soon as the answer starts being written, which suits you if you read along.

It’s too quiet, or not quiet enough

Turn down to in the popup sets how far: anywhere from 1 to 60 % of the volume that was playing. It is a share of your volume rather than a fixed level, so it sounds the same whether you listen loud or soft.

If you would rather have silence, choose Pause instead of Turn down.

Why won’t the slider go below 1 %?

Zero isn’t quieter, it’s silence — and for silence Pause is the better tool: the player stops where it is instead of playing on to nobody.

I paused my music, and Viblyy didn’t start it again

That’s on purpose. A pause you made is yours, and Viblyy leaves it alone. If you would rather it started the music anyway, turn on Resume music I paused myself in the settings.

I turned the volume up in the middle of an answer

Viblyy takes that as you wanting it louder overall. Turn the lowered music up to twice as loud, and it comes back at twice the volume when you send — and the next drop is measured from there. Viblyy never writes over a level you set.

I have more than one AI tab open

Viblyy follows the one you used last; the others can finish writing without touching the music. To keep one tab in charge whichever tab you’re in, choose it under Watch this AI tab in the popup.

The music came back up although I didn’t send anything

Pressing Enter in a message box with text in it counts as sending, straight away — waiting to be sure would cost the very seconds Viblyy is there to save. If nothing is actually sent, the music goes back down within ten seconds.

My music plays in the Spotify app, not in the browser

Then Viblyy can’t reach it: a Chrome extension controls sound in Chrome’s tabs and nowhere else. Spotify also plays in the browser — at open.spotify.com, or installed from there as an app — and that Viblyy covers.

For music in desktop apps there is a Windows app on the way.

Can I switch it off for a while?

The switch at the top of the popup stops Viblyy without removing it. To do the same from the keyboard, give it a shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

Which services does it work with?

Every music service and AI assistant Viblyy knows, with the address it watches for each, is on the page that lists them.

Missing one you use? Write and say which.

How do I remove it?

Open chrome://extensions and press Remove on the Viblyy card. That deletes everything Viblyy kept. There is no copy anywhere else, because none was ever made.

Not here? Write — with the report, if you can.
